Kibo: the creatures of Azur Promilia
Updated 2026-06-26.
Kibo are the fantasy creatures of Promilia, and the heart of Azur Promilia’s creature-collecting loop. The CBT2 build reportedly featured 180+ Kibo. Unlike collectibles that just sit in a box, Kibo are woven into moment-to-moment play.
What Kibo do
Fight alongside you in your team of three Kibo.
Collect resources in the open world — e.g. mining.
Some Kibo can be ridden to traverse Promilia.
Assign tamed Kibo to tasks back at your base.
In other words a single Kibo can be a combat partner, a mount, a mining hand and a worker assigned to a task — the same creature serves exploration, combat and your base economy.
Capturing Kibo (“Starlink”)
Capturing a Kibo is called 'Starlink' — a contract sealed with a Starlink card once you and the Kibo acknowledge each other. Success depends on the card grade; boss-class Kibo can be caught after the fight.
Eggs & growth stages
Many Kibo are found in the world as eggs that you hatch, then raise. They grow through distinct stages — childhood, growth, maturity and 'super limit' — changing appearance, habits, talents and skills at each stage.
Team synergy
Up to 3 Kibo join your 3 characters for a 6-unit team. Pairing specific Kibo with specific characters triggers extra combo effects, and Kibo fire elemental projectiles to assist your attacks. See the playable characters a Kibo can pair with.
The Kibo encyclopedia
The in-game encyclopedia has 180+ numbered slots, but only a fraction appeared in CBT — for example No. 161 'Nebula Eon'. The full roster of Kibo has not been publicly revealed yet.
Coming at launch on Kibopedia
Once the full Kibo roster is public, this page becomes a searchable Kibo dex — every creature with its element, roles, growth stages and where to find it — plus an element-effectiveness chart and a Kibo–character synergy finder. Until then, follow the release tracker and beta updates.
